Wow, day 10! You are really hanging in there!
Today’s blitz is to wipe down your cabinet fronts.
The unheralded cabinet front — it protects and hides your cabinet contents as well as being a protective face. Yay cabinet fronts! Let’s show them some love today.
There’s two ways to approach this blitz: If you regularly wipe down your cabinet fronts, then whip out your multi-purpose cleaner and go to town, starting to the right of the stove and working your way around. If you do not regularly wipe down your cabinet fronts, then I would highly recommend getting a bucket of hot, sudsy water to give your cabinet fronts a spa treatment! Start to the right of your stove and work your way around.
As previously mentioned on the countertop day, whenever you cook there is going to be some grease or oil or some kind of gook floating around in the air. Part of this is going to find a soft landing on your cabinet fronts. So it’s a great idea to give them a wipe down weekly to stay on top of the grime. It’s also a great idea to give the areas touched by hands a daily wipe down with an antibacterial wipe.
SPECIAL NOTE: if you have molding on the front of your cabinets, there’s always the corners that are tough to clean. SOLUTION: Get a toothbrush and use it to get in the corners, wiping with a paper towel or a clean cloth after scrubbing.
